Long time, no music! I'm sorry we haven't been keeping Crash Hub up to date over the past few weeks, we've been busy...being busy! But hey, we're back, and we're hoping to broaden Crash Hub out a bit and bring you a bit more exciting info, reviews and general opinions.

Adele Does Bond
While writing this I'm listening to Adele's knew single Skyfall, which is to be the theme tune for the upcoming Bond film of the same title. I'd say the best word to describe it is probably "fine". It's a pretty average Bond anthem, and does nothing new to try and be a bit more creative as Jack White and Alicia Key's Another Way To Die did for Quantum of Solace. However, it's very traditional, and is a welcome addition to the 007 playlist.

Labrinth and Emili Sandé Duet
Labrinth's new single featuring Emili Sandé, Beneath Your Beautiful, has landed. And again, it is something radically different from what Lab has done before. I personally really like it, and the addition of Emili Sandé is an absolute treat. My only criticism would be that the video is pretty dull, but this doesn't hinder the music at all.
Brian May and Kerry Ellis Go Unplugged
Legendary Queen axe-man Brian May and West End star Kerry Ellis are embarking on another tour together this November. The duo will be performing 11 intimate, acoustic gigs across the country to raise money for the Born Free Foundation.
May and Ellis will also be releasing a cover of the classic song Born Free, the theme tune written by John Barry from the 1966 film of the same name.
While I was away, alot of new stuff has hit the shelves. The biggest one has probably been Muse's rather unpredictable The 2nd Law; but lots of other cool stuff has appeared including Ellie Goulding's Halcyon, Diana Krall's Glad Rag Doll, Van Morrison's Born To Sing: No Plan B, The Overtones' Higher, Richie Sambora's Aftermath of the Lowdown, The Killers' Battle Born and Green Day's ¡Uno!.
Madness New Album Release Date
Madness' new album Oui Oui Si Si Ja Ja Da Da has now got a release date. The album, which features the single Death of a Rude Boy, will be released on the 29th October.

Something Doctor Who is very good at is releasing lots and lots of trailers that all show the same thing. And we have another one for you, showing all the same scenes you've already seen from the first episode, Asylum of the Daleks. However, what this new trailer does have, and about time too, is a return to Murray Gold's theme I Am The Doctor, which was established in the soundtrack of series 5, and was used nowhere near enough in series 6.
Now forget about the Daleks briefly, because we also have photos from this year's Christmas special. You can see them in our gallery here.

Sherlock Hints
Last year, Sherlock show-runners released the words "Adler, Hound and Reichenbach" as hints to what each episode could include. And they've done the same this year; "Rat, Wedding, Bow". It seems they're a bit more cryptic this time round, so I'll speculate in this weeks Crunch. Look out for it on Friday!

Bringing Stephen King's epic The Dark Tower to the screen has been a project that has been treading water for a long time. A few weeks back we reported potential involvement of Russel Crowe, but it seems it's not to be, now that Warner Bros. have dropped out of the project. It's becoming increasingly more likely that the trilogy of films with a joint TV series will never see the light of day.
The Inbetweeners Movie 2?
It is real. There are plans underway for a sequel to last summer's smash hit, The Inbetweeners Movie. There have been rumours, but are the rumours true?
"Sort of, yes." Said co-creator Iain Morris, "We've got an idea, think we'd like to do it if we can make it good, but we're a long way from it really happening. Long way."
So it's in the works?
"Yes. I think we all want it to happen, but the 'ifs' are quite big."
Who wants another Inbetweeners Movie?
The Rocketeer Reboot?
Rumours have started to circulate that Disney are planning to make a reboot of the cult classic film Rocketeer. The original - which starred Bill Campbell, Jennifer Connelly and Timothy Dalton - didn't make much at the box office, but has harvested alot of fans over the 20 years since it was released. Vulture have reported that Disney "will soon be meeting with various writers to come up with a take".
Prometheus - Deleted Scenes Might Make Sense!
Earlier this year, Ridley Scott's Prometheus split critics by it's confusing plot and mass of unanswered questions. But there is a glimmer of hope now for those that the film left bamboozled now that the titles of some deleted scenes that will be available on home release have been confirmed:

Official Synopsis Of The Wolverine
The official synopsis for the upcoming X-Men spin-off, The Wolverine, has been released, confirming what alot of people suspected already.
"Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider in Japan. There, Samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past that will leave him forever changed."
First Trailer For Outpost II
The first trailer for the new film Outpost II: Black Sun has been released. The film stars Catherine Steadman and Richard Coyle who have to face a batallion of zombie Nazi stormtroopers.
First Trailer For Bullet To The Head
Bullet To The Head is a Sylvester Stallone film that was filmed before The Expendables 2, but it's release date was set back until next February. Stallone plays a hit-man on a revenge mission. Here's the new trailer:
Writer For Scorsese's Sinatra Biopic
Director Martin Scorsese has been working on this project for a long time. He has said he has always wanted to make a film about the life of the great singer Frank Sinatra, but after his Rat Pack project that had Tom Hanks and John Travolta signed to it failed to make it to the screen, people thought this dream would never see the light of day. But it is now happening, and writer Billy Ray will be writing. The question now is, who will play Sinatra? Personally, I'd like to see Pierce Brosnan have a go at the role.
Dale Dickey In Iron Man 3
True Blood's Dale Dickey will appear in Iron Man 3, though alot of mystery is surrounding her role. Apparently her IMDb page says her character is called "Mrs. Davis". Hhmm...
Casting News For Kick-Ass 2
Robert Emms (War Horse) and Morris Chestnut (Boyz n the Hood) have both been cast in Kick-Ass 2, the sequel to the hit superhero spoof movie of 2010. Emms will play Insect Man and Morris Chestnut has been cast as "essentially...the guardian".
Chestnut has also landed a role in Brad Anderson's thriller The Hive alongside Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin.
But back to Kick-Ass 2. Another potential cast member is the brilliant funny-man Jim Carrey. Carrey is said to be a big fan of the original film, and is currently in talks to play 'Colonel Stars', a superhero with a military theme.

Madness - Death Of A Rude Boy
Last week I told you about the upcoming album from the band Madness, and that they'd be releasing one of their songs to download for free. The song is now available and is called Death Of A Rude Boy. Anybody worried that Madness may have tried something a bit more modern need not worry, the song is drenched in scar and sits on the bands iconic reggae beat.

Green Day Release Oh Love Video
It's been a while since we last heard about Green Day's upcoming trilogy of albums, but they have stepped back into the headlines with the release of this music video for there single Oh Love, which is from the first album ¡Uno!. Compared to the stuff of Green Day's most recent albums, I find Oh Love pretty dull. Nothing really happens, unlike the anthems of American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown. Here's the new video. Sorry there wasn't any film news last week, here's our round-up of the last two... Thor 2 Villain Announced
Marvel Studios have confirmed that the villain that everyone's favourite Norse-god-turned-alien-turned-superhero will face will be Malekith the Accursed, the leader of the Dark Elves. And the actor to play him? Please welcome Christopher Eccleston. Eccleston is one of my favourite actors, having played the 9th Doctor and the baddie in the first G.I.Joe film. Definately a good choice. However this does of course mean Malekith will only be in this one film! Thor: The Dark World will be released next November.
X-Men: First Class Sequel Is Titled
The sequel to the hugely popular X-Men prequel, X-Men: First Class, has been given a title. The film's producer Bryan Singer confirmed in an interview with IGN that the new film will be called X-Men: Days Of Future Past, and will be loosely based on the 1981 comic of the same title.
In the interview, Singer also said that he would like to "broaden out" the X-Men universe, meaning the new film could potentially feature some of the cast from the original trilogy.

Writer Confirmed For Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy
Marvel studios have confirmed that Chris McCoy will be reworking Nicole Periman's draft for upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy. McCoy is a relatively new name to Hollywood, and is yet to have a big screen work to his name. His tone is quirky and comedic, which makes sense for a film starring a gun-wielding raccoon and a half man, half tree.

New Trailer For Cockneys Vs. Zombies
The first trailer has been released for Cockneys Vs. Zombies. As the title of the film suggests, this trailer is full of swearing, violence and fountains of blood and guts. Viewer discretion before watching the trailer is recommended.
Russell Crowe To Take On Stephen King's The Dark Tower?
Turning Stephen King's Dark Tower novels into a movie franchise has been talked about for around five years now, but there seems to have been a step forward. Warner Bros. have said that they will deliver a decision on whether they want to go ahead with a film and accompanying TV series within 2 weeks, while actor Russell Crowe is said to be in talks about taking on the lead role as the gunslinger Roland Deschain.
Fox has confirmed that there will be a sequel to Ridley Scott's Prometheus, the sci-fi horror that returned Scott to the Alien universe. Although the film received mixed reviews, it made alot of money at the box office, and seems enough to warrant it another film. Actors Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender are confirmed for returning for the sequel, but writer Damon Lindelof due to other commitments. Fox is apparently talking to other writers.

Jon Favreau To Direct Film Of Jersey Boys
The director behind last years Cowboys and Aliens, Jon Favreau, has been confirmed to direct the upcoming musical film Jersey Boys. Jersey Boys is currently a very successful stage show on both The West End and Broadway and tells the story of the 60s group The Four Seasons. Now we're just waiting for casting news.
Joss Whedon Confirmed For The Avengers 2
Disney have confirmed that Joss Whedon will return to direct and write the sequel to the smash-hit superhero film The Avengers. He will also be involved in an Avengers TV series. The release date it seems is likely to be may 1st, 2015! That is after Captain america: The Winter Soldier and Iron Man 3 in 2013 and Thor: The Dark World and Guardians Of The Galaxy in 2014! (It is unclear when Ant Man is set to be released)
Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters Will Be Bloody, Violent and R-Rated
Here's a weird one to watch. Since making dark fairytale films seems to be a bit of a craze at the moment, Paramount have turned round with this wacky idea. This week they confirmed that this film would be very gory, and will definately be R-Rated. It will star Jeremy Renner (Bourne Legacy) as Hansel and Gemma Arterton (Quantum Of Solace) as Gretel.
New Trailer for Looper
Snow White and The Huntsman 2? Or Just The Huntsman?
Some sources claim that the upcoming sequel to Snow White and The Huntsman will focus on The Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) and maybe not even include Snow White (Kristen Stewart) at all. It may even be a spin off movie with a different name!

Mark Gatiss Confirms Drama About Creation Of Doctor Who Who and Sherlock writer Mark Gatiss has confirmed on twitter that he will be writing a one and a half hour long drama about the inception of Doctor Who for the shows 50th anniversary next year. The show will follow a recent drive in "making of" period dramas on the BBC after The Road to Coronation Street and Eric and Ernie.

Madness Talk New Album
Since 2011, Madness have been hinting at a new album. But this week the band announced via their online newsletter that they would released a track from the upcoming album, which will be available to download for free from the newsletter. So sign up now!
Madness have also added a new date to their tour. They will play at the London O2 on December 22nd.
Ellie Goulding Announces New Album And Single
Last week, the hugely successful Ellie Goulding announced her upcoming album Halcyon, which will be released on the 8th October. The album will feature Goulding's recent cover of Hanging On (below) and her upcoming single Anything Could Happen, which will be released on the 30th September.

Dracula On It's Way To Sky Living
After years of tepid supernaturals and non-existant facial expressions, The Twilight Saga is finally ending. So it's unsurprising that a new vampire series is moving in to take it's place, and it's in the form of a new adaptation of Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula. Jonathan Rhys Meyers (The Tudors) is set to play the title role. We'll keep updating you when we learn more.
BBC Release Trailer For Series 5 Of Merlin
The new trailer for the upcoming series of Merlin has been shown on BBC channels. The trailer confirms that the series will return to BBC 1 this autumn.
To me, the trailer doesn't really look very interesting. The show is called Merlin, yet there seems to be more emphasis on Arthur and Gwen. Having said that, loving the Muse!
New Series Of Family Guy In UK
On Sunday, the first episode of the new series of the hit American comedy Family Guy was aired on BBC 3. If you missed the episode you can catch it on BBC iPlayer. If you didn't, tell us what you thought of it in the comments.
Life On Mars E-Books
Earlier this month, author Tom Graham announced that he would be writing four novels based on the hit 2005 TV series Life On Mars. The stories will feature the characters Sam Tyler and Gene Hunt, as played by John Simm and Philip Glenister in the original series, and will carry on where the final series left off. Maybe they will bridge the gap between Life On Mars and its sister series Ashes To Ashes?
The Killers Release Runaways
This week The Killers released their first track, Runaways, from the upcoming album Battle Born. Personally, I think it's a good song, but doesn't quite make it back to the standard of the golden era of Hot Fuss.

An exhibition that celebrates the life and music of reggae star Bob Marley has opened at the O2 in London. Messenger: The Bob Marley Exhibition is part of a celebration of Jamaican music at the O2 and is open until 22nd October.

Elbow Announce B-Sides Album
Last Wednesday, Elbow announced that they would release a collection of B-Sides on an album titled Dead In The Boot. The collection features songs from the early years such as 2000's None One (from the Newborn EP) as well as some more recent songs like 2008's Every Bit The Little Girl (from the One Day Like This EP). Alot of these songs haven't featured on the albums.

Queen Announce Hungarian Rhapsody For The Big Screen
Queen's legendary gig at Budapest in 1986 is set to be released in cinemas around the globe. The remastered concert movie, Hungarian Rhapsody, will be released on the silver screen on 20th September.

The Hunger Games Sequels
If you didn't know, because you've had your head stuck in a rock or you've been spending a long time trimming your nasal hair, Comic-Con was last weekend. And it's safe to say, it was pretty mahoosive.
So, The Hunger Games. As we all knew, after the success of the first installment earlier this year, Lionsgate plan to go ahead with the whole series, the next film being Catching Fire (due 22nd November 2013). New cast members include Amanda Plummer (who will play Wiress) and Phillip Seymour Hoffman (who will play Plutarch Heavensbee).
And now onto the next film. The third and final story in the books is Mockingjay. It has been confirmed that, like Harry Potter and Twilight, the last installment will be split into two films.
After Earth Viral Teaser
The upcoming Sci-Fi movie starring Will and Jaden Smith released it's first teaser trailer at Comic-Con. It's certainly intriguing, and makes it a film to look out for.
Pacific Rim Suits
Not much is known about this upcoming Sci-Fi starring Idris Elba. "When an alien attack threatens Earth's existence, giant robots piloted by humans are deployed to fight off the menace". The team behind the film showed off some of the suits they are using in the film at Comic-Con.
New Cast For The Wolverine
The upcoming sequel to the X-Men prequel (confusing right) X-Men Origins: Wolverine has got a new cast member. Jessica Biel will play Viper in the film, who is a variation of the character Madame Hydra from the comics. Biel is also to appear in the remake of Total Recall, which also was previewed at Comic-Con.
Oz The Great And Powerful Trailer
A new prequel to The Wizard of Oz starring James Franco and Mila Kunis released this trailer at Comic-Con.

The Dark Knight Rises Review Round-Up
We are very close now to the release of Christopher Nolan's final Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises. Some lucky reviewers have seen it all ready (*envy*). Overall conclusion? It's pretty insane!

Marvel Dominates Comic-Con
Let's take it film by film...
This logo was released at Comic-Con. It's a shame that this wasn't given an epic title, but hey, it's good for consistencies sake. It has been confirmed that Ben Kingsley will be playing the main villain in this film, The Mandarin. It is also confirmed that another villain appearing in the film will be Iron Patriot. This has come as a surprise to alot of people as Iron Patriot is normally associated with Spider-man. In the original Marvel comics, Iron Patriot is another alias of Norman Osborne a.k.a. The Green Goblin. Could this mean the new film The Amazing Spider-Man is to be incorporated into the combined Marvel universe? Because of copyright reasons, we think it's unlikely.
The upcoming Thor film now has a proper name and a release date! The name doesn't really tell us anything about the film, but it sounds cool. Add this to your diaries.
Captain America 2 was also given a name and release date at Comic-Con. Unlike the first film, The Winter Soldier will be set in modern day. This title also tells us who the villain will be in the film, as the Winter Soldier in the comics was none other than James "Bucky" Barnes.
It is confirmed, the other big Marvel film of 2014 will be Guardians of the Galaxy. Most people believe (but it hasn't been confirmed) that the film will exist in the same universe as all the above and will be used to introduce Thanos, the villain who appeared at the end of The Avengers and who is likely to be the main antagonist in The Avengers 2.
And finally, Marvel surprised us all by announcing that Edgar Wright's Ant-Man has got the green light. No release date has yet been pinned on it, but at least we now know it will definately happen. I'm very excited!
Man Of Steel Poster
At Comic-Con, director Zack Snyder unveiled this poster for upcoming Super-Man reboot Man Of Steel. Snyder also announced that a teaser for the film had been tagged onto the reel for The Dark Knight Rises, which opens this weekend.

Freddie Mercury's Barcelona Will Be Re-Orchestrated For 25th Anniversary Edition
Island Records have announced that a special edition of Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballé's album Barcelona will be released on the 3rd Spetember 2012. Barcelona was the final piece of solo work Mercury completed before he died, and this special version will include an entirely re-orchestrated version of the song that remains to be one of his defining works.

In other Queen news, the smash-hit stage show We Will Rock You is set to do it's first arena tour next year to celebrate the show's 10 years at the Dominion Theatre in London. If you get the opportunity, I would really recommend the show. It is a fantastic tribute to Queen and is also very funny and entertaining.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the name, Richie Sambora is the lead guitarist in the classic rock band Bon Jovi. On Thursday, we got our first look at his upcoming solo album Aftermath of the Lowdown when the first single, Every Road Leads Home To You, was released. Click here to download it for free. A new console is being made called the Ouya. It will be android based and only cost $99 so £65 ish pounds. This will open up a whole new area for games on the cheep and flexable end, meaning it can compete with the big consoles coming out over the next couple of years! Every title will be Free to play. It is designed by Yves Behar.
The Walking Dead Season 3 The series will be 19 episodes long and feature some new characters. Danai Gurira's character, Michonne, has been described as "...awesome. She's sexy. She's a badass." by Laurie Holden and Danai herself as "really impressive, and she brings the character to life." by Gale Anne Hurd. David Morrissey has said that "...people are going to be blown away" by his new character, The Governor. Glen Mazzara also said"...he thinks he's the Messiah." Actor Chandler Riggs said that his character Carl was "...growing up. He's definitely not a kid anymore ... He's more of a solder, more part of the group." And producer David Alpert promised that "We're going to kill so many people ... people that you care about and love". A new clip was put online but has now been removed due to copy write but there is a picture seen above.
Doctor Who
Mark Gattis is writing a victorian-set episode for after christmas and the guest actors and some screen shots have been revieled! It is the ninth episode and it is called The Crimson Horror. See the updated episode guidehere.
Dame Diana Rigg is playing Mrs Gillyflower, a woman with a dark secret known to the inhabitants of Sweetville as "the Ice Lady", who does something dastardly to new companion Clara that the Doctor (aided by a couple of old friends) has to reverse. These old friends appear to be Madame Vastra and Sontaran Strax.
Dame Diana Riggs's daughter, Rachael Stirling, is playing her daughter! She has been seen on set wearing prosthetics for a burnt face! Whats that about, Ice lady and fire daughter ?

For those of you who don't know Dame Diana Rigg is best known for her 60's roles in On Her Majesty's Secret Service and the UK TV show The Avengers and Rachael Striling was in Snow White and the Huntsman.
Sweetville's match factory, which goes by the name of Brightwell and Hyman, is a place regarded suspiciously by the locals, and will play a part in the episode's story.

Also in this episode has the guest actorsCatrin Stewart, David Warner, Liam Cunningham and Brendan Patricks like OMG (no i don't recognise the names either).
Okay so the girl to the left is Catrin Stewart. She played that girl in Misfits that could turn things to ice and then blew her self up by having sex with Nathans long lost brother! (what I told you it had spoilers). And this episode has an Ice Lady too! But more importantly she was the girl that was with Madame Vastra in A Good Man Goes to War half way throught the last series of doctor who!
David Warner is older and been in all the high geekness movies from Tron to Star Trek.
Liam Cunningham is a main character from Game of Thrones and has been in loads of stuff! Apparently he has been teased to include the words "meat", "klaxon" and "Vienna".
Brendan Patricks is the guy to the right. He is from Downton Abbey.

The writer of Luther and Spooks, Neil Cross, is writing his first episode for Doctor Who. Not much is known about it but we know it will star Jessica Raine (seen right) and Dougray Scott (seen left). These pictures are not from Doctor Who. (Your a goon if you thought they were)

Sky Living will be playing host to the US show Elementary in the UK this autumn. We have been told that Jonny Lee Miller plays Holmes as an ex-pat Brit with a history of drug abuse whose father employs Lucy Liu’s live-in assistant Dr Watson to aid his recovery. Romantic complications, we’re told, ensue.

Benedict Cumberbatch, everyone's favourite modem Sherlock, has a guest role in the US show The Simpsons! You may have heard of it. This will add to his roles in The Hobbit and Star Trek later this year. We think he will not however be playing Sherlock but an unknown and unconfirmed character. Benedict said: "I was at a meeting in the same place The Simpsons is recorded and heard there was a part going in an episode. I said 'I hate to muscle in here guys but could I record it?' Next thing, I'm standing in a room with all those famous voices; Bart, Marge, Homer, Lisa."
And Finally, if a slip of the tongue courtesy of Dredd’s Karl Urba is correct then it is sort of confirmed that Benedict will be playing Gary Mitchell, a villain from the original series of Star Trek in the new Star Treksequel. (Yes I know this is movie news but it fits better here!) Mitchell was a member of the Starfleet Academy who was exposed to a magnetic storm aboard the SS Valiant, leaving him with godlike telekinetic powers and a decidedly nasty temper.

Ok, after the music overload of last week, I have found a whacking great number of news stories. 1, to be precise...
But back to Kick-Ass 2. Another potential cast member is the brilliant funny-man Jim Carrey. Carrey is said to be a big fan of the original film, and is currently in talks to play 'Colonel Stars', a superhero with a military theme.
Fox has confirmed that there will be a sequel to Ridley Scott's Prometheus, the sci-fi horror that returned Scott to the Alien universe. Although the film received mixed reviews, it made alot of money at the box office, and seems enough to warrant it another film. Actors Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender are confirmed for returning for the sequel, but writer Damon Lindelof due to other commitments. Fox is apparently talking to other writers.
Here's a weird one to watch. Since making dark fairytale films seems to be a bit of a craze at the moment, Paramount have turned round with this wacky idea. This week they confirmed that this film would be very gory, and will definately be R-Rated. It will star Jeremy Renner (Bourne Legacy) as Hansel and Gemma Arterton (Quantum Of Solace) as Gretel.
